FROM EXCLUSIVE COLLABORATIONS TO PRESTIGIOUS SHOW HOME PROJECTS, ACCOUTER REFLECTS ON 2020
As we delve into what is set to be another busy year, Accouter reflects on the year that was 2020. Despite the doors to the studio momentarily closing to the public, the hand-picked team of award-winning interior designers have worked tirelessly to deliver timeless schemes to an array of international private clients. Starting the year together, the studio took a well-deserved trip to a ski resort in the French Alps within the heart of the Portes du Soleil. Following this, was an unforeseen sequence of events, from lockdown lessons to ‘prestigious’ press, Accouter reveals their highpoints.
THE ROYAL ATLANTIS RESIDENCES
Throughout 2020, work continued to develop on Accouter’s show home at The Royal Atlantis Residences. Working alongside some of the world’s leading architects, such as Kohn Pedersen Fox and renowned artists, the highly anticipated show home is due to be completed in early 2021. The property will boast an elegant reception area, dressed in sumptuous yet tactile fabrics and a climbing screen of cut glass mirroring the reflection of the Arabian Sea and the infamous Dubai skyline. Working in collaboration with Knight Frank Interiors, the final reveal is set to be a showstopper.

THE PENTHOUSE, CAMBRIDGE
In the summer, Accouter launched their latest scheme, The Penthouse, Cambridge. The penthouse is a spacious and luxurious three-bedroom space boasting an in-house gym, pool, sauna facilities and concierge services. Known for their signature luxury interiors, the team were appointed to do a full refurbishment of the apartment, converting it into a modern transitional apartment, located in one of the most exclusive developments in Cambridge.
Accouter’s array of international private clients and developers usually seek to capture something of themselves in a space: a sense of belonging, aspiration or historical narrative. Working with our network of artisans and global curators, we create environments that capture the threads of that narrative, perfectly balancing form and function and pulling them together to fashion remarkable living spaces.
“EACH PIECE OF FURNITURE AND DETAIL WAS CAREFULLY THOUGHT ABOUT, TAKING IN CONSIDERATION A MIX OF SOPHISTICATION AND SIMPLICITY.”
AMALIA BOIER, INTERIOR DESIGNER.
COLLABORATIONS
At the beginning of 2020, due to the March lockdown, AGC launched ‘Lockdown Lessons’ live on Instagram leading to the ‘Discussions with’ section on the Accouter blog. What followed was an amazing series of the designers hosting live Q&A’s with leading artisans and agents along with other key industry experts. Amongst the first succession of the live interviews was the Q&A with Charlie Willis, CEO of The London Broker.
Since then, becoming a more permanent section of the Accouter The Publication mailer, they have had the delight of interviewing Phillip Jeffries, Nat Bowen, Lees Associates, Maria Morris and so many more. The successful collaborations have since led to an exclusive feature in PrimeResi about the upcoming exclusive Royal Atlantis Residences show home. You can read the full article here.
