In honour of International Women’s Day on March 8th 2021, Accouter are celebrating their collation of inspiring female artists and artisans.

GILLY NICOLSON

Gilly Nicolson reaches to the core of what is essential for luxury, high-quality home textiles, and combines it with a custom-made service. Her self-titled brand creates stylish and bespoke products are available in the online shop, as well as through interior designers in the UK and abroad, boutique hotels, chalets and white-label items.

Inspiring choices is key for the Gilly Nicolson team, as they want to offer as many options as possible so that customers can create their own unique sets of luxury bed linen that last a lifetime. Accouter has had the pleasure of working with Gilly, in the highly anticipated The Royal Atlantis Residences.

"Working with Accouter, we recently supplied bedlinen and bedding to the show apartment of The Royal Atlantis Residences in Dubai. Soon to be one of the most iconic buildings in the country, the Accouter designers used views of the Aegean Sea as inspiration to create an opulent and elegant design brief."

Founder of The Luxury Property Forum, Priya Rawal is a lawyer specialising in luxury residential developments and hotels. Over the years, Priya connected with various people and long-lasting relationships have been forged. Her experience in construction projects meant she understood the need for each separate discipline to work cohesively with each other. This then led to the need for mutual respect and understanding of individual roles and strengths. A platform of which Accouter in association with Accouter Group of Companies is proud to be a part of.

The essence of The Luxury Property Forum is to create a sense of community within the industry. The forum is unique in nature and is the only existing group that brings together the entire span of the luxury property industry. CANDICE LAWRENCE

Candice Lawrence is the founder of Modern Gesture. Winning Glamour magazine woman of the year for Art and Design 2018 and inspired by South Africa, Candice creates stunning pendant lighting fixtures and mirror with a strong focus on sustainability.

Modern Gesture believes in sustainability, using recycled wood offcuts to create spectacular, environmentally conscious pieces. Lawrence is always personally involved in the turning and manufacturing in her workshop in Retreat, Cape Town.

AIVEEN DALY

Collaborating with elite artisans to create something which is exquisitely designed is one of the reasons why an Accouter project is so exclusive. Aiveen Daly is a specialist upholstery studio in London, designing and making for the world’s finest interiors projects. The workshop in North West London regularly hosts some of the top interior designers and architects across the globe. Working largely to the commission, the studio uses luxurious embellishment techniques to adorn furniture and surfaces.

Over the years, Accouter has had the pleasure to work in collaboration with Aiveen Daly on several luxury interior design projects. Forming a strong relationship, the designers often share Aiveen’s work on the Accouter Instagram.

LINA & JENNY OF ARYA CANDLES

Lina and Jenny, are the mother-daughter duo behind Arya Candles, founded in 2014. Creating natural home fragrance products in Suffolk, England, for the Accouter Chelsea Waterfront scheme launch event, gift bags with scents of heavenly scents of ylang-ylang and rose were handmade by Lina and Jenny.

Arya Candles support Women for Women International (UK) by sponsoring women on a one-year life-changing programme. Women for Women International operate in 8 countries affected by war and conflict, offering women support, tools, and life-changing skills. With new stability, strength, and economic self-sufficiency, the women can begin to rebuild their lives, and in so doing, improve the lives of future generations. Every Arya candle sold will positively impact a woman affected by war and conflict.
