THE MOST SHOPPABLE FASHION TRENDS FOR AUTUMN/WINTER 2020

As interior design consultants, one of the most important aspects of staying ahead of developing trends is to stay current with the world of fashion. This year has certainly been like no other, including within the fashion world. Back in March we saw fashion houses such as Gucci and Versace cancel their shows, as well as the biggest night in the fashion calendar, the Met Gala which was postponed indefinitely. With a big link between fashion and interiors, the studio often shares their favourite looks over on their Instagram. With Jacquemus recently showcasing their Spring Summer 2021 collection in a wheat field, Accouter has been inspired to see how fashion houses have adapted to the new normal.

Autumn is officially here, and despite the uncertainty of COVID-19 many of us have used this time to update our wardrobe. Accouter reveals their collation of trends that not only have inspired the designer’s wardrobes but, have also transpired into their newest luxury interior designs.

TASSELS

Just like the 1920’s flapper-style, tassels are back in full swing as one of the biggest trends this autumn and winter. With fashion houses Prada and Gabriela Hearst are leading the trend down the runway, this effortless trend can be easily dressed up or down. Tassels remains a firm favourite within interior design where designers often opt for a tassel trim on decorative cushions.

LEATHER ON LEATHER

As seen as one of the biggest trends from last season, leather is once again being championed by all fashion houses, including statement leather trench coats from Bottega Veneta and day dresses from Versace. Traditional black leather is still key but embrace brown and burgundy shades as seen in Saint Laurent Autumn Winter 2020 collection.

Accouter’s exclusive interiors, are now available to purchase on Bazaar. Featuring Accouter Group of Companies’ bespoke product designs, a selection of leather sofas and accessories are now available. Not only that, Bazaar are also proud to sell some of their favourite brands creating an eclectic collection of upholstery, beds and headboards, tables and cabinets, rugs, decorative lighting and accessories.

METALLICS

How can we go the festive season without hues of golds and silver? This trend walked the runway in full style, from golden gowns by Oscar de la Renta to sumptuous day dresses by Celine. This is a statement style that is needed in everyone’s winter wardrobe and also the home.

In the recently revealed project, The Penthouse, Cambridge; Accouter took to using bronze throughout the property to elevate the timeless, elegant design of the space. You can see more on how Accouter used this trend on their Instagram.
